Account Director Tier 1 Accounts (NA)

  • Any major City in the USA
Territory:
  • Assigned Tier 1 accounts in North America to include, but not be limited to, Altice, AT&T, Bell Canada, Centurylink, Comcast, Cox, Spectrum, Telus, Verizon, Windstream.

The company is looking for a “hunter” sales executive responsible for sales activities with Tier 1 Communications Service Providers (CSPs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) accounts in North America. The sales executive will have responsibility for sales of the full Telco Systems portfolio of products but with primary focus selling the Telco Systems NFVTime SDN/NFV portfolio of solutions.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and close sales with current and new prospect customers
  • Meet or exceed quota target in the territory
  • Prospect technical use case opportunities and provide sales presentations to potential customers
  • Assist in the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate list of prospect opportunities and strive to close business
  • Visit customers on a regular basis
  • Develop multi-level contacts within assigned accounts to execute sales    
  • Actively participate in tradeshows and other relevant market events
  • Regularly provide activity reports and forecasts
Requirements and Skills Required:
  • Demonstrated experience and success selling to headquarter and multi-level, centralized decision makers and influencers at Tier 1 communications service providers. Experience selling Carrier Ethernet/MPLS/SDN/NFV solutions is a plus 
  • Track record of prospecting and closing new business sales
  • Current relationships with Tier 1 account contacts or demonstrated ability to reach required contacts 
  • Technical and industry ecosystem knowledge sufficient to understand and prospect customer technical application requirements 
  • Background and experience to carry out most of the selling cycle independently 
  • Ability to maneuver and motivate internal product management and engineering resources to support new product features and capabilities required to close business
  • Ability to work effectively within an international organization and add value as a team member 
  • Experience working with and leading RFP/RFQ proposal responses 
  • Self-disciplined, capable of working effectively from a home office
  • Ability to be resilient and operate in a rapid changing market environment. Willing to make “lemonade out of lemons” when required   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening and strong presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively as demand requires
